Melissa J. Zielinski, Ph.D.,is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in trauma and its comorbidities and a behavioral health scientist whose program of research aims to inform the development, implementation, and dissemination of interventions for trauma-related sequela among vulnerable and underserved populations. She has authored 15 peer-reviewed publications and given over 50 invited talks, chaired symposia, and poster presentations at national and state conferences. Dr. Zielinski has been personally delivering and supervising the provision of trauma- and emotion-focused treatments with criminal justice populations for over four years. Though only recently having become a Hope Rises Board Member, Dr. Zielinski has been offering a weekly therapy group at Hope Rises re-entry center since its inception. She also provides a weekly therapy group in Wrightsville Prison on behalf of Hope Rises and is in the beginning stages of assisting the organization in expanded program evaluation endeavors.
